Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bill Hader joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in the 2005–2006 season and in his eight years on the show earned two Emmy nominations for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy.
On the feature side, Hader is currently shooting a lead role in Judd Apatow’s upcoming comedy Trainwreck (2015) opposite Amy Schumer for Universal. He co-stars with Kristen Wiig in The Skeleton Twins an indie drama which was a hit at the Sundance Film Festival and will be in theaters September 2014. Hader can also be seen later this year in The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby with James McAvoy and Jessica Chastain.
His other film credits include Superbad (2007), Knocked Up (2007), Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008), Adventureland (2009), Tropic Thunder (2008), Pineapple Express (2008), Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009), and Men in Black III (2012). He also lent his voice to the hit animated movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2009) and its 2013 sequel.
In addition, Hader works as a creative consultant and producer on South Park and was one of its producers to win the 2009 Emmy Award for Best Animated Series. His other TV acting credits include Portlandia, The Mindy Project and Larry David’s HBO movie Clear History.
