Charles Busch

Charles Busch is the author and star of such plays as The Divine Sister, Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, and The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife, which ran for nearly two years on Broadway and received a Tony nomination for Best Play. He wrote and starred in the film versions of his plays, Psycho Beach Party (2000) and Die Mommie Die (2003), the latter of which won him the Best Performance Award at the Sundance Film Festival. He is also the subject of the acclaimed documentary film The Lady in Question is Charles Busch (2005). A lifelong devotee of classic film, he has appeared in documentaries on Greta Garbo, Bette Davis, Judy Garland and Joan Crawford, has been a proud TCM guest programmer and has recorded DVD commentary tracks for The Bad Seed (1956), Dead Ringer (1964) and WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE? (1962).
