Scott Feinberg

Scott Feinberg is the lead awards analyst for The Hollywood Reporter, covering all things Oscars and Emmys in print and on “The Race” blog, which was recently chosen by the Los Angeles Press Club as the winner of the National Entertainment Journalism Award for best entertainment blog of 2013-2014. He began on the awards beat in 2001, writing for independent websites before eventually joining the Los Angeles Times and then THR. Over the years he has built one of the world’s best track records at forecasting the Oscars, highlighted by his performances in 2006 and 2013, when he correctly projected the winners in 21 of the 24 categories, tops among all pundits. An alumnus of Brandeis University and a member of both the Broadcast Film Critics Association and Broadcast Television Journalists Association, he is currently writing a book about film history for young people, for which he has conducted more than 500 interviews with high-profile industry figures from across the decades and disciplines of the medium.
